The Atom-based portable MSI Wind will be officially hitting the US in June 3rd but sadly only the 10-inch display version will be available to US market in both Linux and Windows flavors. So just forget about the 8.9-inch display version now.

Both Linux and Windows versions will be using the 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU. Other than the operating system, both versions share roughly the identical parts except Bluetooth, battery and weight. The Linux version features 945GMS+ ICH7-M chipset, 10-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, 2.5” 80GB SATA hard drive, UMA video card, 512MB DDR2 memory, 4-in-1 card reader (SD,MMC,MS, MS Pro), 3 USB Ports, 1.3 MP built-in webcam, WiFi b/g and 3-cell battery for 2.5 hours support while the Windows version comes with Bluetooth, larger memory 1GB and a 6-cell longer battery life upto 5.5 hours. The Linux version will come with a price tag of $399 while the windows version will be $549.
