Netflix Player by Roku

Netflixers might want this little gadget. From now on, you can just watch your movies through this so called “Netflix player” by Roku without having to wait for the physical DVDs arriving at your front door. The size of this player is extremely small and light and it equips with all audio and video outputs such as HDMI, component video, S-Video, composite video ports, digital optical or the standard red/white analog stereo outputs as well as an Ethernet port on the back of it. The remote looks a bit shoddy at first but it’s kind of handy and about as simple as it gets.

First to clarify, this box doesn’t download the movies from Netflix but it streams movies from Netflix. So the streaming speed and quality of the movies are really depending on how fast your network connection could handle. For the setup, it’s super duper simple. Just plug it into your Ethernet station and then connect it to your TV. That’s it. You are now able to enjoy the movies but sadly the selection of titles available for streaming right now is still fairly paltry but with an hundred dollar bill, you will be able to have it home. Nothing to be complained.
