
Intel is making a big move on the solid-state drive, which they know it is expecting to be the mainstream storage on the notebook. Intel is going to launch it’s high performance, energy-efficient SSDs somewhere around the end of Q3, wrapping them up along with their Centrino 2 platform (Montevina). 2.5-inch Client X25-M SSD and 1.8-inch Client X18-M SSD are the two SATA models be unveiled in 80GB capacities, following 160GB by the end of Q4, 250GB and beyond in 2009.
